Newport Capital Partners is pleased to announce the sale of two properties located in the City of Chicago: 217 North Jefferson Street and 7100 S. South Shore Drive.

217 North Jefferson Street, a 6-story, 58,000-square-foot brick and timber loft office building in Chicago’s West Loop, sold for $14.5 million. The property was acquired by Metonic Real Estate Solutions, an Omaha, Nebraska based, private real estate investment management company. Newport greatly appreciates the efforts of Bruce Miller and Nooshin Felsenthal of Jones Lang LaSalle who brokered the sale.

7100 S. South Shore Drive, a 10-story apartment building with 162 residential units, and 4,500 square feet of commercial retail in Chicago’s historic South Shore neighborhood, sold for $6.8 million. The property was acquired by Morgan Management. Newport would like to thank Bill Baumann of the Kiser Group who brokered the sale.

Both properties were sold by Newport Capital Partners, on behalf of the DV Urban portfolio. In 2012, Newport was awarded a portfolio takeover, and appointed as General Partner of DV Urban Realty Partners I, LP, on behalf of five City of Chicago Pension Plans.
