A local investor paid $7.05 million last week for a four-building, 207-unit apartment portfolio in the South Shore neighborhood. Adam Walls of Chicago-based 5812 Group LLC, which bought the buildings at 1962 E. 71st Place and 7130, 7144 and 7147 S. Jeffery Blvd., did not return messages. A venture led by Chicago-based landlord Metroplex Inc. sold the properties because it was “an opportune time to sell,” said Lee Kiser of Kiser Group, which brokered the sale. A Metroplex representative did not return messages.
