Estella Kiser, founder and principal of Kiser Group, says she grew up loving her mom's kourambiedes—a Greek shortbread cookie made with almonds and covered in confectioner's sugar. She learned from her mom how to make the treats, which the family shapes into moons and circles. “My mom could always tell when we snuck one because it would leave a trail of sugar. I see the same when my husband and kids can't wait to have one.”
